Focus and Scope

ECSOFIM is an open-access journal, which became a scientific forum for students, lecturer, and researchers to publish the results of research within the scope of "Economic and Social Fisheries and Marine Sciences". This journal contains research results related to the research fields of economic fisheries resource, trade and business, and social fisheries and marine. In general, this journal also provides access for authors and users as well as other stakeholders.

The journal carried an article published scientific in the form of research results. The scope of the study includes the Economic and Social science in the field of fisheries and marine fisheries in the form of marketing, fisheries international trading, fisheries agribusiness, fisheries sociology, the fishing industry, fisheries economics, fisheries resources economics, fisheries resources management, fisheries management plan, fisheries institutional and cooperatives as well as organizational behavior and human resource management.

Peer Review Process

Reviewing process in ECSOFiM, there are at least two reviewers for each manuscript in the related topic. Author(s) can also propose the candidate of reviewers. The judgement from the first reviewer will be main priority for the editor to make decision, if there are only two reviewers. In case of three reviewers, decision will be made from at least two reviewers. Twelve weeks will be needed for reviewer to complete one round reviewing process.

The candidate of reviewers will be chosen based on their reputation in national and the international publication number and quality. Next step, The Editor send the invitation letter for each candidate of reviewer. After the candidate of reviewer informed their availabilities for reviewing process, Editor create account for each reviewer and then send manuscript by OJS.

All reviewing process are in blind review and managed by editor in the OJS.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...


Plagiarism Policy

ECSOFiM (Economic and Social of Fisheries and Marine Journal) editorial board recognizes that plagiarism is not acceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified in an article that is submitted for publication in ECSOFiM.

The manuscript submitted into this journal will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. Manuscript with a similarity rate more than 20% will be returned to the author(s) for revision.
